Although an extremist's ideas may sound insane, there is always at least a glorious reason behind those ideas that is responsible for the support from the people. Despite if your a fascists, nationalist, communist, or a socialist, the bottom line is that you want to improve your government.
In the book BRAVE NEW WORLD, the government tries to keep everyone happy through limiting or altering their thinking. That is pretty much what every government hopes to achieve through propaganda. Propaganda could provide stability since everyone would be fighting for the same cause. Huxley demonstrates the effectiveness of altered and manipulated thinking, but he also slips in some of the more essential elements to human life other than blinded happiness. Individuals are expected to think at a higher level rather than just abiding to stability.

like i told u already. this response is fantastic and long too. funny thing is that the higher ups (the director and controller) also went through the conditioning. the alpha plus-es such as bernard DO think at a higher level and thats why bernard feels to isolated.
I have to say, you guys use BIG words. Lol.
OKay, so, I really liked how you pointed out the PROPAGANDA because we did talk about it in class and how it does effect or affect (I don't know) the way people think and see the world/society. And of course Propaganda can cause problems. I liked how you said that about propaganda and then said the last sentence. Because it really got me thinking yeahh propaganda does blind people and that is what is happening in the book but the individuals of higher level are not as "blinded" by propaganda and they think for themselves rather than just looking for stability which is one of the goals of the government in this book. For example, taking Bernard, he is an individual and I can see how he is thikning at a higher level and just not settling but its hard for him to break out of the stability because he would be judged. So propaganda is a stability for people but can also cause SUPER CHAOS!
I don't know if I got your point on this but this is what I think you were saying and even if it wasn't what you were saying, do you think this can be true? Lol. Blehhh!
